Rachel Bacus

Rachel is managing partner at Bacus Vineyards in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. She manages two stunning vineyard sites in Chehalem Mountains that produce world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Former architect turned vineyard owner concerned with environmentalism and phenomenology. Her passion for wine, design, and art blend together to create a unique tasting experience at Bacus Vineyards.

She is an experienced designer with a demonstrated history of working in the architecture & design industry. Her past projects have been featured in various design journals, magazines and online publications. Some noted projects include the Portland International Airport Main Terminal, Hatfield Marine Sciences Institute, the US Embassy in Maputo, and the TripAdvisor Headquarters. Along with her B.Arch degree from Cornell she also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Quantic School of Business & Technology. Her attention to detail and focus on craft make for a simple transition from architecture to wine.
